Today's Lesson
Hi Girls,
Today I taught lesson 43 on improving our associations with others. In the lesson we discussed the importance of treating each other well and learning how to get along with all types of personalities. We also touched briefly on the media and how we can be disconnected from important face-to-face connections and being available for others if we are consumed with social networking, texting, or games. I challenged you all to read an article President Bednar wrote called, "Things as They Really Are". There will be a reward next Sunday for those who have read it! Here is the link... http://lds.org/liahona/2010/06/things-as-they-really-are?lang=eng&query=things+they+really
You girls are awesome.

Pioneer Day Celebration
Hi YW,
For the Cedar Mill Stake Pioneer Day Celebration, the stake is collecting names and stories of pioneer ancestors. Please email a name of one of your pioneer ancestors along with some details about that ancestor. You could use the same name you researched for Trek last summer too. If you don't know a name of a pioneer ancestor or you're a convert, then you can send in the name of any ancestor born before 1930 along with the date and place they were born.
Please send your names by email to tom.fletcher@intel.com and put "Pioneer Day Celebration" as the subject.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Brother Tom Fletcher (Cedar Mill Stake High Council)
